Archery
Archery is an activity where participants shoot at target using bows and arrows, either inside or outside.
Date: One Saturday per month (see below) – no booking required, just ‘show up and shoot’
Suitable for: Cubs and Up
Venue: Great Lyde Scout Hall, St John’s Road, Yeovil, BA21 5QR
Organised By: East Somerset Scout District Archery Club
Cost: £2 per Scout for the session

What equipment do I need?
None, the club as a full range of equipment and our leaders will fit you to a bow and arrows which you can use during the session.
Will I earn a badge?
These sessions designed are for scouting members to come along and have a go as well as to help members work towards and achieve the various badges that archery covers in their section. It can be the scouts’ Master of Arms activity badge or part the Skills Challenge badge and you could even work towards achieving your Personal Challenge Award if you wish.
Can I take it further?
This activity could be the start of you getting your physical recreation project as part of your Chief Scout’s Platinum Award, the Chief Scout’s Diamond Award or the Queen’s Scout Award, Duke of Edinburgh Awards or it could be the start of you obtaining your archery Permit.
