Wells Explorers (The Pheasants) are Turning 2!

Date: 13th Jan 2020 Author: Ruth Allen

Wells Explorer Scouts (Pheasants Unit) are celebrating their 2nd birthday this month and since the unit was set up 2 years ago, they have seen their membership double.

Explorer Scouts are aged between 14-18yrs and many of the current members have progressed through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at 5th/7th Wells Scout Group.  Since joining, the explorers have broadened their scouting experiences, having taken part in both local, county, national and international events and activities.

At a recent Scouting Top Awards Ceremony, some of the Wells Pheasants Explorer Scouts were presented with Bronze DofE, Platinum Awards as well as a Young Leadership Scheme Award.   For further information about explorer scouts, held every Wednesday night from 7-9pm at 5th/7th Wells Scout Group hut, contact their leader Jan Doyle, jan.doyle@wellsscouts.org.uk
